Grove has launched two new additions to its all-terrain crane range. The new models - the Grove GMK5120L and the Grove GMK5150XL - were showcased at Manitowoc’s Wilhelmshaven facility, where guests received  a factory tour and live demonstrations of the company’s all-terrain crane range.

The 120 t capacity Grove GMK5120L offers long reach with its 66m main boom. With dimensions of 14.195m overall length and 2.75m width, the GMK5120L provides access to compact jobsites and features Grove’s MEGATRAK independent suspension, providing great manoeuvrability.

The Grove GMK5150XL provides increased capacity and a boom length that is said to surpass most 220t machines in the market. The new model is redefining the five-axle, 150t class by offering 68.7 m of main boom, where it can handle 8.1t.  At 66m it lifts 9.4t and at almost 60m it lifts 12.7t.

“These new Grove cranes deliver a level of performance that was not previously thought possible from cranes in this class, and we can’t wait to get the first orders to our customers,” said Andreas Cremer, vice president product management mobile cranes.

With the introduction of EUROMOT 5, all Grove all-terrain cranes can be operated with HVO diesel that enables CO2 emission reductions of up to 90%.
